Art Exhibit in the City - Gorgeous at Asian Art Museum

Asian Art Museum - Gorgeous SignThe Asian Art Museum is open until 9pm on Thursdays. Mijo and I dropped by the museum after work on a Thursday to see their current exhibition called Gorgeous.

Gorgeous runs through September 14, 2014.

The Asian Art Museum is currently displaying their new exhibit called Gorgeous. The exhibit features  select collections from this museum and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA). Currently, SFMoMA is closed for renovation and its collections are currently on view at different museums.  As members of the Asian Art Museum, we got in for free.

What I got from the Gorgeous exhibit is that beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder and the art exhibit lets the viewer be the judge of beauty.

Here are the ones I liked. Some of them are instant hit as if it is love at first sight. Some of them I found compelling. I didn't find them beautiful right away but grew on me after looking at them over and over again.

I won't tell you which one. I'll let you be the judge. :)
