Everyday Wines in the City - Merriam Vineyards wine selections

Merriam Vineyards - Vines
For the past months, I haven't been blogging about our everyday wines. This is not because the wines were not good. No, no, no. In fact, the bottles we opened and paired with our food were very good.

Since the wines were all from Merriam Vineyards, I've decided to showcase them all in one blog instead.  Salut!

I couldn't find time to blog about our Everyday Wines because of work and personal business. In fact, I have a backlog on city landmarks, places, events and restaurants that I can blog about. That includes the our Everyday Wines. I just don't want the summer to end without blogging about these wines because they are truly good, well balanced and great to pair with food. We got these bottles from our recent visit to Merriam Vineyards.

This is Merriam Vineyards 2011 Rockpile Cabernet Sauvignon and we paired it with our Friday appetizers of homemade tomato-mozzarella-basil, store bought spiced shrimps, dolmas, breads, and cheeses. This pairing/tasting happened in May.

This one is Merriam Vineyards 2010 Miktos red wine blend. We paired it with our week night dinner of stir fried grilled meats.

A couple of days later, we paired it with home made penne with spicy sausage and garlic breads. We opened this bottle sometime in June.

This one is Merriam Vineyards 2003 Dry Creek Cabernet Sauvignon. We paired it with home made grilled portobello mushroom. We opened this bottle sometime in July.

Lastly, we paired this Merriam Vineyards 2008 Miktos red wine blend first with a salmon dinner.

The next day, we paired it with grilled meats. We opened the bottle sometime in August.

These bottles were truly good and paired well with our dinners.  Can't wait to write more about our Everyday Wines to share the experience with you.
