Finally, Mijo and I went to check out the newly opened La Boulangerie on Pine St.
We loved the La Boulange and we were saddened by the closure of the cafes. But that sadness was replaced with jubilation when we heard the news of its ressurection under a new name but the same goodness we were fond of.
Monday was a holiday so Mijo and I decided to go check out the newly opened La Boulangerie on Pine St. We were excited and happy to hear the news that La Boulange will be reopened under the new name of La Boulangerie de San Francisco.
For years, it was where we get our dessert breads, it was where we get macarons for loved ones. It used to be where I meet Mijo for coffee and where I used to meet friends. So you see, the former La Boulange was more than just a cafe for us.
I am happy to report that I saw same types of breads being sold at the new La Boulangerie. The shapes maybe a little different and the sizes too. I noticed some croissants look more shapely as opposed to the bulky shape and narrow and looked a bit longer.
Mijo and I decided to get the vegetable quiche, bread pudding, a strawberry choux and a lemon choux. We were told by one of their friendly staffs that the choux is new. We also learned that they are opening more stores soon so stay tuned.
Since I miss their French American pastries and breads, we decided to bring a couple of goodies home.
We will stay tune and wait for more of your stores to open.
