We started drinking a new coffee blend called State Street Blend by Santa Barbara Roasting Company. We bought a bag of regular and decaf State Street blends during our quick getaway to Santa Barbara recently.
The coffee is full bodied with very small hints of acidity. We love it!
We were craving for a cup of coffee while walking down State Street in Santa Barbara. We found this cool place off the street called Santa Barbara Roasting Company and we tried what they were serving that day which was their State Street blend coffee. We love it so we decided to get both their regular and decaf blends.
Back in San Francisco, we opened both bags since we ran out of both regular and decaf coffee last week. I was quite excited to open the bags as if I was opening gifts. I enjoy the fact that these coffee bags were kind of my souvenirs from our trip to Santa Barbara.
The beans are dark and not too oily. The smell of coffee filled the entire kitchen right away as soon as I opened the bags to refill our coffee mills.
I also started to brew our coffee by turning off the drip to let the water almost fill the filter. I am trying to let the coffee brew a little longer to get the most of the coffee flavor. The results have been great so far.
The State Street blend is a mix of dark bold flavors and smoky tastes with hints of very mild acidity. We love it. Mijo especially loves it!
We've paired the State Street blend with our breakfasts.
We also paired it with a pecan pie we bought from Caffe Central.
We paired it with a slice of Banana Creme pie from Mission Pie.
And cupcakes from Cako.
We really love the State Street Blend. I should have bought some more while we were in Santa Barbara. This is one of the reasons to go back to Santa Barbara. I will definitely get another bag of coffee the next time we are in Santa Barbara.
