A week before we left for our vacation in the Philippines and Indonesia, we opened a bottle we got from our last wine tasting trip to Kendall-Jackson.
We paired the bottle of cab with cheeses from Cow Girl Creamery and pizza and pasta from Goat Hill Pizza. The pairings went really well.
There are so many restaurants in the City so why drive down to the Peninsula to try out a brunch place, right? While there is some truth to that, I was rewarded once again by being open minded.
My friends Caloy and Rey truly enjoyed the brunch at Good Bites Cafe in Belmont. This place serves what probably is the best Champorado, ever! :)
Spring time in California promises sunny weather at the same time comfortably cool temperature. Mijo and I spent a day one Saturday in the beautiful Monterey, a little over 100 miles south of San Francisco. We also dropped by Carmel since it is just around the corner.
We always have a good and relaxing time whenever we go to Monterey and Carmel.
We've slowed down on happy hour recently because of work schedule related reasons. And when we do go to happy hour, the places we've been to did not have anything new in terms of drinks or overall experience except when we went to El Techo de Lolinda.
Drinks are good. Food is good. The city views are good.
Spring is lovely in Northern California. It is still cool enough with the right amount of sunshine.
Mijo and I decided to pay mijo's sister Claudia a visit and we all went to brunch at Brix. Let's just say we were celebrating something. A blessing, so to speak.
Relaxing weekend, great company and great food. Life is good.
Eight compelling steel sculptures by artist Mark Di Suvero are currently on display in Crissy Field as part of an art exhibition by the SFMoMA.
The exhibition is outdoors and for free in Crissy Field. If you are in town, these sculptures will be on display until May 26, 2014.
The other week, I finally found time to take care of the crate full of ruby red grapefruit that one of our neighbors gave us. Thank you so much!
The fruits were so plump and huge. I didn't know a faster way to consume these fresh goodies other than to juice them. I have to admit that I had an enjoyable time juicing.
