SF Chefs in the City - The Winery list

SF Chefs 2012 - Tyler Florence FabioHere is the continuation of my blog on the Saturday Afternoon Grand Tasting Tent event at the SF Chefs 2012.  We learned some do's and don't while at the same tasting event last year. One of them is to pace ourselves with the wine. This means just two to three sips per tasting.

Our strategy worked so well that we sampled more wines at this year's tasting event. As a bonus we also collected several coupons for complimentary tastings!

There were lots of vintners present that afternoon - lots of wines from France, Italy and Portugal and also California's North and Central Coast especially from my favorite subregions of Sonoma, Napa Valley, and Carneros. I also discovered and loved the wines from the Livermore Valley.

Here are the wines I've sampled at this year's Saturday Afternoon Grand Tasting Tent. The ones I am including here are local wineries having good to very good Pinot Noirs, Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots.
